Wise Up Lyrics
Artist: Aimee Mann
Album: Magnolia Soundtrack
It's not
What you thought
When you first began it
You got
What you want
Now you can hardly stand it though,
By now you know
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
You're sure
There's a cure
And you have finally found it
You think
One drink
Will shrink you 'til you're underground
And living down
But it's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
Prepare a list of what you need
Before you sign away the deed
'Cause it's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
No, it's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
No, it's not going to stop
So just...give up

que tenes que hablar vos de la canción.drogadicto sos vos pajero de mierda
I like this song. It's pretty and poignant. But then, I'm not an "instant satisfaction" sort of person. I like long movies, like, oh "Citizen Kane" or "2001." I know, boring. So few explosions. Ah well.

It´s simple and beautiful...like it a lot
--a moving, evocative song about struggling with addiction--truth sometimes is as simple as the lyrics to this song.
This is a beautiful song. It hits the nail on the head about addiction. Maddie, your comment is boring and drags on with all of your extra letters!
It may drag on, but it's about pain that doesn't end. That's the whole idea.
One of the saddest and greatest songs from a movie. It strikes a chord with a sad time in my life. Sometimes it is good to ' feel '
I heard this song, I believe on the TV show Boston Legal...as a songwriter, this song can be interpreted in different ways: addictions, of course, but not just substances, to abuse.
its so..... amazing
First time I heard it, I was watching Magnolia, years ago and realized that I just needed to let go. I did so and moved on....here it is at least 8 years later, I'm watching the movie again and I'm once again in a place that I just have to LET GO!! Here I go again!
The feeling of giving up or letting go is one of the best. This is the reason why this song is amazing!
A beautiful sypatique song
