You And Me Lyrics

Artist: Alice Cooper
Album: Lace And Whiskey

When I get home from work,
I wanna wrap myself around you.
I wanna take you and squeeze you
till the passion starts to rise.

I wanna take you to heaven.
That would make my day complete.

But you and me ain't no movie stars.
What we are is what we are.
We share a bed,
some lovin',
and TV, yeah.
And that's enough for a workin' man.
What I am is what I am.
And I tell you, babe,
well that's enough for me.

Sometimes when you're asleep
and I'm just starin' at the ceiling,
I wanna reach out and touch you,
but you just go on dreamin'.

If I could take you to heaven,
that would make my day complete.

But you and me ain't no movie stars.
What we are is what we are.
We share a bed,
some lovin',
and TV, yeah.
That's enough for a workin' man.
What I am is what I am.
And I tell you, sweetheart
that's just enough for me.

You and me ain't no super stars.
What we are is what we are.
We share a bed,
some popcorn,
and TV, yeah.
And that's enough for a workin' man.
What I am is what I am.
And I tell you, babe,
you're just enough for me.

When I get home from work,
I wanna wrap myself around you.
I like to hold you squeeze you
till the passion starts to rise.

I wanna take you to heaven.
That would make my day complete.

You and me ain't no movie stars.
What we are is what we are.
We share a bed,
of lovin',
and TV, yeah.
And that's enough for a workin' man.
What I am well that's what I am.
I tell you, baby,
that's just enough for me.

It lists my three major addictions: We share a bed,
some popcorn,
and TV, yeah.

It's a good song but what I find entertaining to this day is how he went from this to a hardcore rock star. Makes my smile.

Great song! Takes me back to good times. Songs were simple, poignat, and relavent to the artist as well as the listener. Nothing overt was needed.

When I get home from work,
I wanna wrap myself around you.
I wanna take you and squeeze you
till the passion starts to rise.

Much better than:
Ima beat that P#$$* up, beat that P#$$* up gurl beat that P#$$* up til u holla thats enough.

There is expression and then there is garbage. The latter is truly garbage. I love mining the rock hits of the 70s for forgotten gems!

This song is my high school days. The Lyric's are meant to show how so many should think of an average life. Most people live with rose coloured glasses and forget the simple things. It shows unconditional love. So many forget to be that way. Thus the Divorce rate. The question is Was it to be a great song or just to make one think.
