good for billy joel. hangups about so called moral issues have for too many years wrapped society in a fantasy cocoon that blinds people to the realities of life. these are lyrics that open doors to the real world; mr joel is to be applauded for his candor. that said, billy, can i have my book back please? i need it for research. many thanks.thanks, reg potterton, repo540@aol.com

Apparently this was inspired by comedian Richard Lewis, who sold his house and bought a ticket to the West Coast and became a successfuk stand up comedian (and for a long time a raging alcoholic as well). He is currently a regular on the show "Curb Your Enhusiasm"
