This song has to do with the struggle in the consciousness of a particularly intelligent person as he is forced to face his limitations. It has to be either God or Nature and the fact that the choice bothers someone enough to write a song about it lends credit to the Bible which clearly declares in Ecc. 3:11: "He hath made everything beautiful in its time: also he hath set eternity in their heart, yet so that man cannot find out the work that God hath done from the beginning even to the end."
