Ian & Steve:

Don't dis BOC. Shooting Shark (heck the whole album) is awesome! Not their fault if you don't get it. The music and imagery are extremely well crafted if slightly psychedelic. So quit hatin' - listen and enjoy, instead.

ian and steve sound like morons. a true poet (patti smith) gave this song to BOC to play. it's a case where these kids don't even recognize greatness when it's smacking them upside the head.

Maybe the first commenters weren't complaining about the song, but saying that they'd been in the situation the song was about, and that sucks.

Music strongest attribute: moody, enigmatic; have to consider the context too: early video 80s. Nice transition for a heavy rock band.

I don't think the first two guys are saying the song sucks. They're saying the situation the song is talking about sucks to be in. Great song, and I'm glad to see they still choose to play it.

Y'all seem to forget that Patti Smith was involved with BOC from early on. She was girlfriend to [A Lanier, if I remember] for a whiles and co wrote songs on the [first] second and third albums. [[I'm doing this off the top of m head and I've been a fan for over 50 years -- yeah, I'm THAT old].
