Just a wonderful melody, One of my favorit Springsteen tunes. I remember msnbc played it when Tim Russert passed away and it was the first time I had ever heard it. I went out and bought the live in Barcelona concert video and became a huge Sprinsteen fan after years of ignoring his music. So Bruce went from being ignored to one of my all time favorits over night, Now Bruce has a new fan and I'll be one for life, His music is simply vantastic. Rock on Bruce !

There's a mistake in the second to last verse, I think - it should read "morning is MOURNING, the evening falls, I got too much room in my bed...etc

jim all the songs on the album, ("The Rising,') and this one most powerfully of all, deal with the aftermath of 9/11.
