Hooka Tooka seems to be a pro tobacco song. It's sad to have such bad lyrics to a great sounding song with a good beat. Smoking or chewing tobacco is very bad for you.

hooka tooka was a sing a long tune with a great beat. why do people always find something negative about things like this. i really liked chubby checker and his music. i wish i had this 45 for my old jukebox. brings back those high school memories

Why do people insist on judging things from the past by today's standards? Give me a break! This was written in the 50's or 60's before we had so many gifted people telling us what was good,

Just saw Chubby Checker perform this song live on 10/22/11 in Oregon and regardless of the lyrics, it was an upbeat song and interactive with the audience that brought smiles to faces young and old adults. Keep on Keepin' opn Chubby, what talent and joy you bring to others!
