Like Tears In Rain Lyrics
Artist: Covenant
Album: United States Of Mind
Go to the Empire State and watch the city lights
Hear the noise of millions struggle in the sprawl
Stare into the sky, we're few and far between
Black eyes full of stars, wide with memories
Every street I ever walked
Every home I ever had
Is lost
Every flower I ever held
Every spring I ever had
Has died
Every man I ever knew
Every woman I ever had
Is gone
Everything I ever touched
Everything I ever had
Has died
Lie down in the park and watch the satellites
Hear the children sing just a breath away
Dance in the heavy air along the interstate
Black lung full of fumes, choke on memories
Every street I ever walked
Every home I ever had
Is lost
Every flower I ever held
Every spring I ever had
Has died
Every man I ever knew
Every woman I ever had
Is gone
Everything I ever touched
Everything I ever had
Has died

Comments/Interpretations
in your lyrics when he's talking about the flowers and the spring its not "has died" it's "has dried" hope I was of help!!
cheerful fucks aren't they?
wonder lyrics of covenant my first industrial sound than Ive knew
Interpretation: Death is unavoidable. Everything changes, constantly. What forms appear to exist now, in time, will be gone. This song is written from a timeless perspective: "time" itself, as we know it, is merely another impermanent form. Considering that, you are already dead, every form that you think exists now, being held in your hand, is already gone. Those who see the world in this way, black eyes full of stars, are few and far between. It's a trance of sorrow from which springs infinite joy.
The title of the song is from Bladerunner.
Itīs "dazed by heavy air along the interstate" and not Dance in the heavy Air ;)
i checked out the lyrics to this song because i made the bladerunner connection to see if there were any other references in it... not entirely sure though
