Caffeine Lyrics
Artist: Faith No More
Album: Angel Dust
Pour shame all over us
Harden into a crust
- - - cement - - -
Forget the glamour and
Mumble a jackhammer
- - - under your breath - - -
Hide your face in the curtains
Better unsaid, so close
And it rolls off the tongue
ALMOST
The world expects the pose
Perfectly natural
- - - loosen up - - -
Smearing wet concrete
And swearing you'll never be
- - - caught - - -
At your weakest, etched in stone
And we're frozen here, peeking
ALMOST, sweet talk, CAFFEINE
Make contact
Up to my neck
I confess in quicksand
"But it's so easy for you"
"There's always one thing"
"Do you have something to tell me?"
"Say something"
"Anything"
I'm warning you
I'm warning you
I'm fucking you
I'm warning you
"Relax"
"It's just a phase"
"You'll grow out of it"
Believe anything anyone ever tells you
It's not funny anymore
It's thing you hate the most
The thing you hate the most
The thing you hate ALMOST

Son unos maestros!!!
Excellent i rock with this at monterrey.... please comebake the next year!
When this song made its debut on MTV Live it was the heavest song yet heard from FNM & clearly the crowd was expecting an "Epic" or "Falling to Pieces" type song but instead get this dark & heavy song with Patton delivering concrete heavy vocals & moody phrases like "Relax it's just a phase" So the looks on the stunned & bewiliderd audence makes the live performance priceless! A beautifully brutal song!
It's definitely a brutal beautiful song. Angel Dust was COMPLETELY different then the real thing. The screams in this song were innovative and Caffeine along with malpractice, and jizzlobber were death metal influenced. But it had an experimental side to it which made it sound heavy, yet beautiful.
One of FNM's finer moments. I was one of those that listened to The Real Thing and was happy and astounded at the same time when I first heard Angel Dust. A true gem. Patton is a ruler amongst men.
Amen to all who speak here!
