I Will Never Pass This Way Again Lyrics
Artist: Glen Campbell
Album: Glen Travis Campbell
I will pass this way but once if there's any good that I can do
Let me do it now for I'll never pass this way again
I will see this day but once if there's any kindness I can show
Let me show it now for I'll never see this day again
Tomorrow may be too late my friend to do all the good that you planned
So reach out to those who need you and lend them a helping hand
I will know this world but once if there's any love that I can give
Let me give it now oh Lord please show me how
For I'll never know this world I'll never see this day
I'll never pass this way again

My mother used to keep this card in her purse with these words printed on it...I never knew what it was from- a quotation or song, but this was my mom, this was how she lived her life... i recently lost my mom, my best friend and finding these words aides a little in easing the pain and sorrow.
As a kid I first came along these stanzas/paragraphs in a frame hanging on the wall of my grandparents bedroom. I never had any idea that it was a song until I heard it on a Reader's Digest CD in high school. Now that I am all grown up it just entered my mind so I looked it up in the internet. This has made such an impact on my life before and still has up to the present.
I always loved this but never knew it was a song.
Very inspiring. Written by Ron Gaylord and made popular by Glen Cambell. It is the first tune on an album by Ron Gaylord along with many of his greatest hits. The album also includes classics Danny Boy and Amazing Grace (he plays the violin part) two of his favorite songs.
As I work with our HS reunion planning committee, these lyrics say a lot about contemplating how we live life. Our particular 40-yr HS reunion will be in a few years and for some classmates those opportunities to "show kindness", to "do all the good that we planned", and "give any love that we can give", are slipping away. We have today. We may not have tomorrow. "Let me do it now. . . ."
I play the piano and used to play this song all the time...I love the words and they are my motto in life. We only have one opportunity to do for someone; that opportunity may not present itself again.
My son at he age of 31 yrs old passed away seven years ago, when I heard the Dupree's version I started to cry, because that was the way he lived his life, he was a friend to all and always went out of his way help others, and yes he lived each day like it was his last. Love and Kisses forever.
