Me And My Arrow Lyrics
Artist: Harry Nilsson
Me and my arrow
Straighter than narrow
Wherever we go, every one knows
It's me and my arrow
Me and my arrow
Taking the high road
Wherever we go, everyone knows
It's me and my arrow
And in the morning when I wake up
She may be gone, I don't know
And we make up just to break up
I'll carry on, oh yes I will
{refrain}
Me and my arrow
(do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do)
Straighter than narrow
Wherever we go, every one knows
It's me and my arrow
Me and my arrow (5X)
{Refrain}

Comments/Interpretations
The song is about his dick
no it not it is about his dog
Yes it is about his dog. (cartoon)
No sorry Harry Nilsson listened to Arrow FM in 1970's & loved it. left this song at their reception to use and then as a jingle.
Who calls their dick a "she"? It's about a dog.
It's Oblio's dog.
You are right Scarlet debi, I liked that little cartoon. Can't remember where I saw it on tv, but it was good. Nilsson rocks!
We used to sing.."me and my arrow, straight up and narrow". we all thought it was about his dick. where did you hear it was from the radio station or it was his dog? wheres your proof?
Nilsson's next project was an animated film, The Point!, created with animation director Fred Wolf, and broadcast on ABC television on February 2, 1971, as an "ABC Movie of the Week." Nilsson's album of songs from The Point! was well received, and it spawned a hit single, "Me and My Arrow."

Actually, I used to think the Arrow was his car. Back in the 70's there was a car, made by Plymouth I think, called the "Arrow".
You are all so fucking stupid
The song was used in a TV commercial to sell the Plymouth Arrow.
Song was used briefly in a My Name is Earl episode. Earl shoots an arrow straight up in the air and it impales him.
Dude, it's def. about a dog. She's blue. Watch the Cartoon. (The Point!)
Greg your right! hows about yall stfu and interpret the song the way YOU like it to be
for harry reid: Me and My Negro
m
arrow is a dog in the movie but i think this part proves its a girlfriend; And in the morning when I wake up
She may be gone, I don't know
And we make up just to break up
I'll carry on, oh yes I will. My point is it could be any thing. Harry my have thought that something else and that would be it but we can not know unless u go back in time and ask
alyssa:
It's ok if she's gone, cause everybody knows it me and my arrow. His dog will never leave him, like his girls.
I think that he put a bit of leeway in there so it can relate to lots of people a guy and his dog someone suffering through a brake up or even some one finding his way in life by calling the character arrow and if one day he wakes up and his whole life path is gone he cant do anything about it but he can carry on and by saying straighter than narrow he has a personal goal that he knows that's his purpose in life
Oh, Brad...
listen to the point.thats it.
A great song from a talent whose life was cut short.
Its about a boy that has a normal shaped head but the entire town he lives in has arrow shaped heads. His dig is his only friend.
Heard this on XM Radio, after the sing they gave the entire story.
I remember this song was in a car commerical back in the 70's. There was a car called "Arrow".
In "The Point" Arrow is a dog. It's about round headed beastiality in a pointed world. Shit was like that in the 70's. You can all go home now this topic is closed.
There never was a car my by Plymouth named Arrow. The car was called the Plymouth Aero. Arrow was his little blue dog.
“The Point” is the meaning of life, our Godhead within, pointing upwards, and connected to the divine, the conscience, the mystery of our existence. Someone with integrity and connection to the divine. It is a metaphor for ethics. Dogs are faithful friends, straight up and narrow.
Women leave men because men are controlling, belittling, obsessive, and lowbrow with their solutions to deep problems. Woman have more extenuated brains and intuition, a different perception and listening to life. Oppression is the hallmark of tyrants.
