Just got back from watching Paul Heaton himself performing this song tonight at the Three Horseshoes in Radnage on his Pedals and Pump tour. This was one of my fav HM songs and just thought I would check the lyrics, so googled it. Much to my surprise I see that Paul himself (the writer of this excellent song) has commented that the above lyrics are slightly wrong! Amazing. Anyway, it was a great performance tonight of this classic song, 25 years on....he certainly came up with the goods.
