All Along The Watchtower Lyrics
Artist: Jimi Hendrix
Album: The Jimi Hendrix Experience
There must be some kind of way outta here
said the joker to the thief
There's too much confusion...
I can't get no relief
Business men, they drink my wine
Plowman dig my earth
None were level on the mind
Nobody up at his word
hey, hey
No reason to get excited
The thief he kindly spoke
There are many here among us
Who feel that life is but a joke
But, uh...but you and I, we've been through that
And this is not our fate
So let us stop talkin' falsely now
The hour's getting late, hey
All along the watchtower
Princes kept the view
While all the women came and went
Barefoot servants, too
Outside in the cold distance
A wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching
And the wind began to howl

Classic, written by a genius and later performed by a genius! ie. Robert Zinerraman & James (Marshall) Hendrix!
I didn't go to Woodstock--I was in California at the time. But I was very aware of the festival, and I spend a fair amount of time on YouTube watching the bands.
But living in Santa Barbara, and later in Portland Oregon, I went to many concerts. I loved outdoor festivals, bands like Beck and all kinds of alternative rock. I never paid to see a concert, I just went and sneaked in. Always carried a bag of weed for bribing the guards, plus my roommate was chief of all security for California concerts. Though he would have busted me, except later during cleanup after a concert I'd go up to him and tell him how I snuck in. My friends hated that I did that, but it's just good politics.
