I have 5 children, the youngest is now 7 years old. Ever since he first heard this song, he fell in love with it. Like any kid he likes alot of the "pop" stuff of today, plus he has the influence of the 4 older kids. But they have all heard John Denver throughout their lives. I have over 80 albums/CDs of John's.

I own a roller skating rink, and I play this kind of music mixed in with the "pop" stuff. My 7-year old recognizes this song immediately in the first couple of notes. As soon as this song starts, my son will drop whatever he is doing to go skate to it.

Go to youtube, type in John Denver Spirit-Eagles And Horses. It will be a cartoon video. Someone took video footage from the movie and put it together to match up with the lyrics of this song. Your kids will like it. And you will, too.
