Isolation Lyrics

Artist: Joy Division
Album: Closer

In fear every day,m every evening,
He calls her aloud from above,
Carefully watched for a reason,
Painstaking devotion and love,
Surrendered to self preservation,
From others who care for themselves.
A blindness that touches perfection,
But hurts just like anything else.

Isolation, isolation, isolation.

Mother I tried please believe me,
I'm doing the best that I can.
I'm ashamed of the things I've been put through,
I'm ashamed of the person I am.

Isolation, isolation, isolation.

But if you could just see the beauty,
These things I could never describe,
These pleasures a wayward distraction,
This is my one lucky prize.

Isolation, isolation, isolation, isolation, isolation.

one of my favorites of Joy Division !!! That's just a perfect song. Here are all the ingredients for a fuckin' good pop/rock/newwave song ! Thanks to Martin Hannet's magical feeling to record a song with new technologies and thanks to Curtis'fuckin trippin voice and soul, we've got 4 minutes of a nostalgic masterpiece from Manchester, UK.
Even my cat likes it !!!!!!!!!!

Curtis wrote the best lyrics, better than Lou Reed, better than anyone.
by Johnny Gonzo on 7/27/2009 2:56pm
@Judith - damn fucking straight. Joy D. rule the fucking roost in my opinion! Closer is closer to a masterpiece than any Smiths, Bob Dylan or any other record ever produced in history. I believe it should be sealed in a vacuum container and shot into space along with beethoven, van gogh amongst others for posterity, should this world be destroyed and nothing remains...

Just great!

Ian curtis wasn't Mancunian, he was from Stretford (Lancashire/Trafford).
As a Mancunian myself, I should know.
