Hmmm. I wonder what this is about? It's not nearly as clear as HWC, after all.

My know-nothing guess is that her lover has kissed and told. This is why I think she says don't even look at her straight on - because she knows he's the only one could have said anything. Her hands in her pockets, because she's finished.

Haha, no really, tell me what it's really about?

Usually when people have their hands in their pockets, they're guilty of something. Which is why, right after she says "I ain't done anything wrong"

Certainly, he has a girlfriend, she slept with him, he told someone...it got out....but it wasn't her fault...it got out...but she doesn't care...she didn't say anything. She rocks...love Liz Phair.

Nope. She cheated on her boyfriend, and the guy she did it with told, and she's not saying anything.

The "I didn't utter a sound" "I didn't let the cat out" lyrics aren't being said out loud in the conversation. She's just sticking to her story.
