Singing The Blues Lyrics
Artist: Marty Robbins
Album: Country
Well I never felt more like singing the blues
Cause I never thought that I'd ever lose
Your love dear why'd you do me this way
Well I never felt more like crying all night
Cause everything's wrong and nothing ain't right
Without you you got me singing the blues
The moon and stars no longer shine
The dream is gone I thought was mine
There's nothing left for me to do but cry over you
Well I never felt more like running away
But why should I go cause I couldn't stay
Without you you got me singing the blues
[ guitar - piano ]
Well I never felt more like running away...

Comments/Interpretations
I think 1969 or 71 was when Jim Dandy and Black Oak Arkansas did a great rendition of this song. Too bad they didn't sing the exact lyrics and even extend the song longer. All generations seen to like this song and love their version of it. They also did a lot of great songs including Great Balls Of Fire. Elvis actually suggested they do the Lavern Baker song Jim Dandy To The Rescue.
I don't know if anyone is interested but, Melvin Ensley from Little Rock, Arkansas, wrote this song. I believe Marty Robbins had the big-big hit on this.
