Coming Back To Life Lyrics
Artist: Pink Floyd
Album: P.U.L.S.E
Where were you when I was burned and broken
While the days slipped by from my window watching
And where were you when I was hurt and I was helpless
Because the things you say and the things you do surround me
While you were hanging yourself on someone else's words
Dying to believe in what you heard
I was staring straight into the shining sun
Lost in thought and lost in time
While the seeds of life and the seeds of change were planted
Outside the rain fell dark and slow
While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime
I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the moment had arrived
For killing the past and coming back to life
I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the waiting had begun
And headed straight into the shining sun

Comments/Interpretations
A lot of people believe that Pink Floyd ceased to exist following The Wall album (the Final Cut was written in its entirety by Waters), however I rate this track among the band's most musical and lyrically beautiful songs.
As a huge Floyd fan I have to agree with you even from my own standpoint. Momentary Lapse and The Division Bell are the albums I have probably listened to the least but when I do I am still amazed by great they are. Long live Wright!
The first time I heard this song I had found a means of coming to gripes with my son's death.
It was an answer to so many question. Thank you.
This song made me to realize what i missed in my past
This song deserves a monument in the middle of Wembley Stadium. Only a handful of living humans can afford something like this one.
