this album (this song and the gunner's final dream in particular) is absolutely fantastic. the lyrics are profound and worth pondering, while the melodies and harmonies show the full depth of human melancholy. naturally, pink floyd doing what they do best.

why do you ask me why I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH? because I love everything about the band that made THIS SONG also known as pink floyd. I can name EVERY ALBUM BY PINK FLOYD. fun fact: did you know that in 1973, when they made their MOST POPULAR ALBUM called the dark side of the moon, they where the most popular band on earth at that point. with elvis pressley at the 2nd most popular band on earth with the beatles as 3rd, rolling stones as 4th and michael jackson at 5th. pink floyd is the most psychedelic band on earth since the 1960's and still has that place in 2020. with all the band members (roger waters, nick mason, richard wright, bob klose, david gilmour, polly samson, bob ezrin and, syd barrett) in this band, this band is what I call one of the most successful bands on earth
