I just discovered this song, heard the first chords and it went directly deep in my heart. So my heart told my brain to listen to the words and my tears started to flow. Such a great comfort this son! All thanks to Prince

This song was written for a friend of his (Prince) that died from AIDS aquired thru drug use, put down the needle put down the spoon. This so is so sad and beautifuk at the same time.

actually aaron the song was written in memory of Jonathan Melvoin (brother of Wendy & Susannah) who died of a heroin overdose in 1996 while touring with the Smashing Pumpkins.
