Part of the main theme to Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'The Phantom of the Opera' from 1986 sounds very similiar to a section from the 1971 Pink Floyd song 'Echoes'. Roger Waters decided not to take legal action, but later insulted Webber in the 1992 song 'It's a Miracle!

I echo Lena; the genius of Waters solo work is never given the credit it justly deserves...His sense of irony and sarcasm are beyond any other composers of our era..and the complexity of the musical arrangement is haunting every time I listen to it...Roger we need some new work

Yeah, this really is a masterpiece. So is the record as a whole. Visionary, epic, prophetic. Huge words that would have trouble applying itself to any other artists work. In Rogers case they are not only suiting but also well-earned. Kickass!
