Life Fades Away Lyrics
Artist: Roy Orbison
Album: Less Than Zero Soundtrack
My time has come, the clouds are calling
December wind has come my way
And now I feel the will falling
All at once it's too late
Life fades away
The night is my wake
All thoughts slip away
And even though I must leave you
Remember I love you
I'll always be in your memory
And I will always be with you when I'm gone
Fade, life fades away
Oh yea, yea, yea, yea
Life fades away
I'm tired of tomorrow
Lost for today
I long to be
At peace forever
My eternity
And even though I will miss you
I must leave you
Fade, life fades away
Oh yea, yea, yea, yea
Life fades away
So please forgive me
And try not to cry
I long to be at peace forever more
Forever more
Oh yea, yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea, yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea, yea, yea, yea
Life fades away
Life fades away
Life fades away
Away
One last thing to say
Life fades away

Comments/Interpretations
My father passed away yesterday morning and he was a huge Roy Orbison fan. I'm putting this song on the CD I'll be playing at his wake.
So sorry Steph. May the memory of love shared help you through.
Sorry to hear that Steph
Hope you and your father had a good relationship. Take care x
this song was written by Glen Danzig for Roy Orbison
Don't know the song, but the lyrics, its perfectly poetic
love it
Wasn't this in Less Than Zero?
Yes, this song was on the Less Than Zero soundtrack.
Glenn Danzig wrote this song for Roy and the movie. Even though he is known for dark heavy metal, he has some different work that its awesome. One of my favorites from him is Black Aria. Its classical with an easy dark sound.
my husband loved this man and his music. i used in dreams at his funeral. i wanted a celebration of life. so we picked music that meant something to him or what we felt about him. he died on feb 7th 2012 coming up a year. i had never heard this song but it is speaking volumns. in dreams i will see you
