Super Bon Bon Lyrics
Artist: Soul Coughing
Album: Irresistible Bliss
Move aside,
and let the man go through.
Let the man go through.
If I stole
Somebody else's wave
To fly up.
If I rose
Up with the avenue
Behind me.
Some kind of verb.
Some kind of moving thing.
Something unseen.
Some hand is motioning
to rise, to rise, to rise.
Too fat, fat you must cut lean.
You got to take the elevator to the mezzanine,
Chump, change, and it's on, super bon bon
Super bon bon, Super bon bon.
And by
The phone
I live
In fear
Sheer Chance
Will draw
You in
To here.

Comments/Interpretations
i love this song
refuckingtarded
Seems very accurate. Great song!
makes absolutely no sense but still a good song
ME ENCANTA ESA CANCION^^
This song is awsome....Think of it as a story being told, but broken up and then put back toghter!
Interpret it as you will...
What the hell is this song about? Does anyone really know?
it's about fat people
'you' is right, makes no sence but still good
M. Doughty was in Italy and saw a candy called "Super Bon Bon" and thought it sounded cool. That's how almost all Soul Coughing songs are written -- he takes a bunch of words that sound cool together and puts a beat underneath. They're not at all guaranteed to make the slightest bit of sense.
its on Bigs 2

Right here he is talking about an elevator. A verb, a moving thing, something that is unseen - that draws you upwards.
Best part of the song.
There is something wonderful about looking out the window of a moving elevator as it raises you above the city below - and it is one of those few places in a public place that you can often find yourself alone.
...bon bon super bon bon
It's: "To fight that, you must cut clean", not "Fat, fat"!
Great song it,s sounds like something Frank Zappa would sing and pink Floyd would play the music.
Sounds like an inspirational! ...or a coma induced heroin death spiral one.
Great catch verse. Move aside, and let......are You singing this in Your head? Thought so.
Sounds to me like he just pushed a fat guy out the way, so he could ride the elevator solo. Super bon bon bon bon. I bet that is the first thing I would say when the doors closed behind me too.
Too fat THAT you must cut clean
ANYONE REALIZE THIS SONG WAS FEATURED ON HOMICIDE.
A mezzanine is a type of floor typically used for storage in warehouses and stages for shows. Stating you gotta take the elevator to the mezzanine just means he's up pretty high on that stage/platform. Try not to think too much into their lyrics as they typically make about as much sense as Beck's lyrics, haha.
Yes I was just thinking that beck could have wrote this song. This song got stuck in my head by a video game, and I always thought the lyrics were
mezzanine shop, changing the song super bon bon...ect.
I thought those lyrics because the beat changed right then at the chorus
I have loved this song for many moons! It rocks!
this song is mostly about riding the subway in nyc.
Rumor has it that several of the "nonsense" lines are late-term trade slang for legal weed products...
