I was afleetwood mac fan and named my daughter after this song tho I changed the spelling to Rheanna I also know of the legend of Rhiannan in celtic history the truth now is my daughter is now taken by the wind is flying around the world and at 22 I wonder who will be her lover!~

I am watching Stevie Nicks perform this live on Soundstage, on PBS, right now. lws, I remembered her singing the verse as you commented on it, but she just sang the 2nd verse as:
"She rules her life like a bird in flight"
Which is as it is written on here.
Now, the reason I looked this song up is because when I was young I loved this song, yet now as she is singing the lyrics, she has changed them. she just sang:
"All your life you've never seen a woman taken by the sky. Would you stay if she promised you Heaven? Would you even try?"
Did she change the lyrics because she has separated from Fleetwood Mac?
I have heard people say she sings like a goat... I don't care... I think she makes amazing music & she has her own unique style! Keep on rockin'!

Opps, I Made an error. I just submitted an entry with the lyrics to a second version of Rhiannon that included a third verse. I believe I listed it incorrectly. This version can be caught on some live versions (LP &CD- The Dance) and on some TV bios and performances.

if you reasch the word rhiannon you will find it originated in wales or ireland, rhiannon was a great goddess or queen, i have heard her as godess flying over battlefield in ireland. she was always in flight on her horse taken by the winds of war. loving rhiannon will never work because of her constant travels on the winds to battlefields-she will never stay in one place to learn or care about human love

Rhiannon was a witch..........Stevie read the book on a flight and then wrote the song in 10 minutes....she's amazing!
