Polythene Pam Lyrics
Artist: The Beatles
Album: Abbey Road
Well you should see Polythene Pam
She's so good-looking but she looks like a man
Well you should see her in drag dressed in her polythene bag
Yes you should see Polythene Pam.
Yeah yeah yeah
Get a dose of her in jackboots and kilt
She's killer-diller when she's dressed to the hilt
She's the kind of a girl that makes the "News of the World"
Yes you could say she was attractively built.
Yeah yeah yeah.

Comments/Interpretations
It's okay............But I don't know the tune if saw it.So explain the tunes like is it Hmmmmm hm hm hm. Man you should see Polothene Pam
brilliant i love the song but the band rocks i love the beatles there awsome i'm writing a christmas song acout this song this christmas!
One of the several half-finished songs that make up a long medley on the second half of Abbey Road (the last album they made).
The lyrics are wrong as posted on your piggybacked site.
It's not "make the news of the world" it's "makes a use of her build" and then it reiterates the the phrase by saying "you could say she was attractively built."
The Beatles do this phrase switch often. In Penny Lane... they say "he likes to keep his fire engine clean" then switch it up saying "its a clean machine."
If you listen closely you'll hear a strong "B" saying build, and definitely not a "W" for world.
I will not rest until the world can mend the error on all lyric web sites.
I like you Pam. Good work!
No, no. It is definitely ''News of the world''. It's just his accent that may make it seem like Build. But on another note... you wouldn't use built and build straight after each other. That would just be poor English. John Lennon's English was far too good to make a rookie error like that...which of course he didn't.
Regardless of just how the lyrics go, all I know that Polyethylene Pam is perhaps the best song on Abbey. Great beat and great guitar lead.
It's "news of the world"
Abbey Road is IMO the best Beatle album.
No the lyrics are correct in the line quoted:"She's the kind of a girl that makes the News of the World" because "News of the World" was the UK's number 1 scandal sheet (newspaper) from the 1800s to year 2011. John is proclaiming that the girl "Polythene Pam", is so outrageous that she could make headlines in the News of the World. The group "Queen" actually released an album titled "News of the World" in '77. Yes, the song is amazing!
She's the kind of a girl that makes good use of the fill.
Yes you could say she was attractively built.
it's not 'News of the World'---it's 'she's the kind of a girl that makes good use of THE PILL'
