I love those words, as I loved the Andy Griffith show. What a wonderful way of life. And, it taught good family values, and I became a Christian I'm sure because of its influence on my conscience. Thank you for letting me hear the song with lyrics. Steve, born in 1946

This is the best known tune ever. I used to whistle it before I got dentures! Got nicknamed Opie back in the late 60's at work cuz the guys on the line said I looked like him.
