Onward Lyrics
Artist: Yes
Album: Tormato
(Chris Squire)
Contained in everything I do
There's a love, I feel for you
Proclaimed in everything I write
You're the light
Burning, brightly
Onward through the night
Onward through the night
Onward through the night of my life
Displayed in all the things I see
There's a love you show to me
Portrayed in all the things you say
You're the day
Leading the way
Onward through the night
Onward through the night
Onward through the night of my life
Onward through the night
Onward through the night
Onward through the night of my life

Comments/Interpretations
This is the most simple and beautifully haunting piece of music ever written.
Rachel,
You are so right and they are on their way to someone special
This was my brothers favorite "British Rock Band".
We are playing this at his memorial service next Sunday.
simple and lovely, wonderous and keen.my father loved this and so do i
This song is so beautiful, yet I find it leaves me with a haunting loneliness. The worst thing is feeling powerless to resist listening. I don't want the feeling but the song is so beautiful I can't stop myself from listening.
Yes, my favourite rock band too and I agree with all the other comments. In fact I defy anyone to close their eyes and allow themselves to be drawn into this amazing piece of work by Yes without feeling an extreme emotion or even find tears in their eyes. Especially if like Ken(above), you have someone really special in mind.
1 of the most beautiful songs ever recorded andersons voice is simply amazing if this song doesnt touch you i feel sorry for you
I came across a YES CD for $1 in an antique store. Could not wait to get home, put the headphones on and go back to the mid 70's when I first came across them. I would say 'ditto' to all the comments as well. After a crappy day at work, I challenge anyone to sit back, listen and tell me they don't feel better!
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!
I sing this beautiful song to my wife.
She is my strength to move onward when things get tough. Love you Bela♥️
This was my Wedding song.
