Your Move Lyrics
Artist: Yes
I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way.
I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way.
Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife.
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured
For the queen to use.
Move me on to any black square,
Use me any time you want,
Just remember that the goal
'Sfor us to capture all we want, anywhere,
Yea, yea, yea.
Don't surround yourself with yourself,
Move on back two squares,
Send an Instant Karma to me,
Initial it with loving care
Don't surround
Yourself.
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and
its news is captured
For the queen to use.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit didda.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit
Didda.
Don't surround yourself with yourself,
Move on back two squares,
Send an Instant Karma to me,
Initial it with loving care
Don't surround
Yourself with yourself.
Don't surround yourself.
Send an Instant
Karma to me. Don't surround
yourself.
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured
For the queen to use.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit didda.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit didda.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit didda.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit didda.
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured.

thank you
great!!!!!
One amazing song! wow. just wow.
oh and I love the chess references, it kinda helped me play the game ;). Good message.
"Send an instant "comment" to me..." not "Send an instant karma to me..."
It IS "Send an Instant Karma to me". Also it's "Make the white queen run so fast, she hasn't got time to make you white."
I thought it's a reference to lennon
therefore instant karma
@ Kathy:
"...she hasn't got time to make you white."?
I don't think so.
"WISE" not white
It is "instant comment" for sure. And it's not "wife" or "white" but "wise". At least this is how I've been hummering for almost 40 years :)
Instant Karma & white...
you make eense of anything else?
What does Jon Anderson say?
Instant was a hot expression at the time and fits with making your move with love, otherwise, you're catured by the Queen in the game where you gotta get all you want.
Don't agree? Oh, well.
It is "...send in Instant Karma to me...". Yes, and especially Jon Anderson, adored John Lennon and the Beatles.
To some it`s karma,
To others comment,
It matters not to me;
The reason that
I love this song
Is diddit, diddit, diddit.
I've always wondered how many times the last line of the song is repeated. My radio station used to play it so the last line was repeated probably about 20 times at least, but more recently they seem to cut it off at about 10 repetitions as it is listed here. Interesting how the last part of the song starts out with upbeat guitar riffs and seemlessly degenerates into a foreboding dirge as the pipe organ/synthesizer kicks in.
It is "instant karma" and it's "wise" not "white" or "wife". All you really have to do is listen to a remake and it's a lot easier to tell for sure.
Move me on to any black square, use me anytime you want. Just remember that the goal is for us to capture only one !!!
It's "Send an instant CORNER to me' - maintains the chess theme.
The John Lennon theme of "Instant Karma" makes even more sense when you listen to the background "All we are saying/Is give peace a chance" during some of the "diddits".
Instant comment sounds like something modern-dayish like instagram and twitter and all that, and seeing how there weren't even cell phones yet when this song came out, I think it is more likely Instant Karma. When I saw Jon Anderson in concert he said he was thinking of John Lennon when he wrote this song, so it is most likely Instant Karma.
'sfor us all to capture
