Generation Landslide Lyrics
Artist: Alice Cooper
Album: Billion Dollar Babies
Please clean your plate dear
The Lord above can see you
Don't you know people are starving in Korea
Alcohol and razor blades and poison and needles
Kindergarten people, they use them, they need them
The over-indulgent machines were their children
There wasn't a way down on Earth here to cool them
'Cause they looked just like humans
At Kresge's and Woolworth's
But decadent brains were at work to destroy
Brats in batallions were ruling the streets
Saying generation landslide
Closed the gap between them
And I laughed to myself at the men and the ladies
Who never conceived of us billion dollar babies
Militant mothers hiding in their basements
Using pots and pans as thier shields and their helmets
Molotov milk bottles heaved from pink high chairs
While Mother's Lib burned birth certificate papers
Dad gets his allowance from his sonny the dealer
Who's pubic to the world but involved in high finance
Sister's out till five doing banker's son's hours
But she owns a Maserati that's a gift from his father
Stopped at full speed at one hundred miles per hour
The Colgate invisible shield finally got 'em
But I laughed to myself at the men and the ladies
Who never conceived of us billion dollar babies

bought this cassette in 84 for a buck. still the best purchase i ever made
I managed an airport bookstore and had Alice Cooper as a customer, I told him what a pleasure it was to meet him of course. And I told him face to face that this song was one of my all time faves. He was very gracious and thanked me for being a fan. It was great meeting him in person and shaking his hand. Alice Cooper Rocks!
Vincent and the band... back in the day were waaaay ahead of their time. I bought up every album! Couldn't get enough of Alice Cooper. His music seemed to be singing about my life. School's out, Billion Dollar Babies, and most of all Desperado.
One of the best... so many to choose from!!

..LOL> knew the words by heart at 7yrs, learned to play it on guitar around 10, LOLOL. I didn't think anyone else appreciated the true genious of this group. It feels good to see such recent comments.."I Guess I love It To Death" haha..peace peoples <3
kresges became k-mart
founded by Sebastian S. Kresge
An anthem for our times. I have been a fan for forty years.
I think Alice Cooper is one of the greatest, but most under-appreciated rock bands of all time. (until they got into some of their schmaltzy later albums which I didn't like so well)
Being a teenager in the 70's listening to Alice Cooper was the best. And in 9th grade. We would take off from Emerson Jr High in Livonia MI at lunch time, to head over to Kresge's to get a hot dog and a frozen coke for a $1.
Same here, awesome to see the comments and see others have realized what a genius this guy and band was. And what an amazing song, totally under appreciated.
Was listening to Special Forces today and the Live version of this song has an extra verse. Does anyone know if this is a verse that Alice had written but deliberately left off the song when he originally recorded it or did he add it during the 80's
